Honky Tonk Legend is a collection of original songs I'm workin on right now y'all. It's an album of Country & Blues songs from yours truly.

In the beginning. Blues and Country Music were the same thing, played the same way.

Quite often, it's important to go back to the beginning, to the roots of something. 

So we can start fresh and figure out where those before us went wrong.

That's what this Country Blues album is all about for me y'all.

As the lyrics for the songs of this album have been coming to my mind y'all. I now realize this album is about me doing the same in my life. 

Recovery isn't about a substance like "experts" and "professionals" want us to believe. Recovery is about eliminating lies from our lives. 

Over these last several years of my recovery process, I've been doing just that. 

And now I've finally removed my desires to want any of the people from my past life in my new life. An amazing and wonderful life I've also been building along the way.

Anyone from our lives before we start our recovery process cannot be involved in our new lives y'all. Because they were part of the lies. Unless someone is open to addressing and correcting the lies they play...

They can't be involved in our lives anymore.

I've yet to find a single person who can do this.

Once I have the money to do so, I'll by myself a Resonator guitar and start writin and recordin my own shit.

Because now I understand that I do know how to write music. I've stopped listening to more lies that I'm not good enough to do it.

I've written music before. 

So I know I can do it again.
