Woodward Ave in Detroit, MI is a legendary road. But before the hot rods and street racing which made this road so famous in the 50's, 60's & 70's. It was a wooden plank road traveled by horse drawn vehicles. However the spirit of racing was alive and well on Woodward in the 19th century too.
