Tommy James is going through a mid-life crisis. Tired of never being seen or heard, he runs off to Hollywood to fulfil his dreams of being a star.

But Hollywood isn't at all what he expected. Almost out of money and rundown by the chaotic and destructive scene of Los Angeles, he looks for something new.

Another break from what is his own chaotic and self destructive life.

Tommy takes a job further south, just outside of San Diego. It's a posting he found on the internet.
Tommy is to be the care giver for an ailing old man. How tough could that be?

Tommy takes the job thinking he can get away from the world of entertainment and refocus himself. Begin working on some screenplays and television scripts as he tries to relax.

However, not knowing the man he is about to become very close with is a former worldwide star himself.

The two men help each other find peace in their lives and in coming to grips with life and death. But the journey the two men travel together isn't an easy one.
