Why Automation Instead of People?

Having played important roles in implimenting automation in manufacturing settings, I can tell you this with certainty...

I have never put automation into a job any person would ever want to do.

The reality is that many manufacturing jobs are not worth the paycheck received for working them. They weren't worth it in the past. And they most certanly are not worth the paychecks being handed out today.

Another unfortunate fact is that manufacturing jobs have been used by a small group of individuals to hold another group down. All while lifting themselves up in return. Which is why manufacturing has always been a hot button topic in political discussions.

Business as usual has now brought all of us to the brink of violent war. Which it means that business as usual hasn't been working.

So it's time we stop doing business as usual.

To our benefit as a human race, a large group of us have been allowed to advance ourselves and to reach much higher levels of funcionality. This change has been occuring over the last several decades. I believe we should keep this progress moving into the future. I also believe it is time for us to start allowing everyone to reach these similar levels too.

There is no need to hold others down so anyone can feel more inportan than they really are.

We all put our pants on one leg at a time, as the saying goes. It's time we begin behaving this way too. Not just saying this statement but never meaning it.

Something I'm doing through Respectful Rebel Arts & Entetainment is to demonstrate the importance of art and creativity. To prove that we as people can make our living acting as the creative beings we are meant to be.

The only way humanity has ever escaped the dark ages throughout history is through a Renaissance. So that is what I've been planning these last several years. A Renaissance fitting for our times.

There's no need for a smaller group to hold down a larger group just to prove they are superior. Because the truth is that no one can be superior than any another. It's just that simple.

Simply by showing the world that all of this can be done.
